As a saxophonist, she always looking for ways to keep her musical skills fresh and relevant. Whether it be practicing scales, studying theory, or just simply listening to my favorite albums, I can usually be found working on some kind of artistic project, whether it be in music, photography, or visual arts. In fact, I find myself using my art as a means of self-expression. It’s been a long time coming, but I think I finally found the right outlet for my creative impulses. For me, music and art are both an outlet for my creative energies and a way of connecting with others. I’ve found that the best way to get inspired to create is to look around at the world around us. There are so many amazing pieces of art everywhere, from street murals to paintings hanging on walls—even the beauty of nature inspires me to paint.
While walking on the street I saw a saxophonist is performing her first solo at an outdoor concert on park street. She has been practicing very hard to give a good performance. This young girl is a real admirer of her and is looking forward to seeing her play live.
